Airthings’ mission is to ensure that people around the world take control of their air quality through simple, affordable and accurate technology solutions – making radon and air quality detectors as common as smoke detectors.
Radon gas is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers and affects everyone. We are working together with The American Lung Association's LUNG FORCE, the British Lung Foundation's Living Well Alliance and the Norwegian Cancer Society (Kreftforeningen) in the fight against lung cancer.
Every five minutes a woman in the USA learns she has lung cancer and over the past 30 years the number of women dying from it has nearly doubled. The American Lung Association’s LUNG FORCE initiative aims to unite and mobilize women against lung cancer. Learn more about our collaboration with LUNG FORCE.
Norway is one of the European countries where most people live in houses with too high radon levels. Airthings is a Norway-based company, and we work together with the NGO Kreftforeningen against lung cancer. Learn more about our collaboration with Kreftforeningen.
An estimated 20,000 people die from radon-related lung cancer every year in Europe alone. Together with the British Lung Foundation's Living Well Alliance, Airthings' hopes to drive the global conversation around air quality and initiate action.
